COP 28: Parliamentarians members of REPAR prepare their participation
Meeting from September 26 to 28, 2023 in Brazzaville/the Republic of Congo, the lawmakers concert on how to participate in the upcoming cop 28 to hold in the United Arab Emirate from November 30 to December 12, 2023. The opening ceremony of this sumptuous event was animated with speeches from the President of the Congolese National Assembly represented by the Secretary General; Congolese minister of Forestry; the Executive Secretariat of COMIFAC; the regional coordinator of REPAR; as well as the presence of the ambassadors of Germany and Cameroon to Congo Brazzaville; and the press.
Besides works in plenary, the lawmakers also carried out a tree planting exercise at a state forest reserve some 85km away from Brazzaville. At the end of the 3 days deliberations, a final communique and a position paper were adopted.
